Union Minister for Communications Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia reviewed the progress of the Bharat 6G Alliance (B6GA) at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to making India a global leader in 6G technologies. The review highlighted the achievements of B6GA’s seven Working Groups, India’s growing participation in global 6G standardisation, and the increasing strength of the country’s 5G and 6G innovation ecosystem, with over 7,700 related patent filings. The Minister emphasized the need to benchmark India’s progress against global developments, strengthen collaboration among the Working Groups, accelerate indigenous research and innovation, and build a robust end-to-end telecom ecosystem. During the event, the 5G Labs Excellence Awards were also presented to recognize outstanding contributions in innovation, utilisation, engagement, and excellence in 5G and 5G-Advanced technologies.
