The Bharat 6G Alliance, in collaboration with the European Space Agency, Indian Institute of Science, Centre for Development of Telematics, and the UK-India Future Networks Initiative, successfully demonstrated satellite-enabled 5G connectivity between India and the UK. The demonstrations showcased telemedicine applications and Smart Village services from Satnavari, Maharashtra, highlighting the potential of integrated terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks to support advanced digital services and improve connectivity in rural and remote areas.

Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Director General of Bharat 6G Alliance, participated as a speaker at the 12th Asia-Pacific Spectrum Management Conference held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 11–12 March 2026. He joined Session 7 titled “Shaping the 6G Future – How can APAC lead in both Driving Innovation and Ensuring Inclusivity?”, where global experts discussed the evolving vision for 6G, spectrum strategies, and the role of the Asia-Pacific region in enabling inclusive digital connectivity. During the session, he shared perspectives from the Bharat 6G Alliance on emerging technologies, spectrum policy considerations, and collaborative pathways for advancing the 6G ecosystem.

At the invitation of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, President of the Republic of Finland, H.E. Dr. Alexander Stubb, is on a State Visit to India from 4-7 March 2026. President Stubb, who is on his first visit to India in his present capacity, is visiting New Delhi and Mumbai and is accompanied by Ms. Sari Multala, Minister of Climate and the Environment of Finland, Mr. Matias Marttinen, Minister of Employment of Finland, and a high-level delegation comprising of officials and business leaders. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the 11th edition of the Raisina Dialogue on 5 March 2026 in New Delhi with President Stubb as the Chief Guest delivering the Inaugural Keynote Address. President Stubb’s visit follows the visit of H.E. Mr. Petteri Orpo, Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland for the AI Impact Summit in February 2026.
